Premier League: Arsenal reignited their Premier League title hopes on Wednesday with a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory over Tottenham at the Emirates, while Newcastle’s Alexander Isak continued his record-chasing form to fire the Magpies into the top four.

Premier League: Arsenal vs. Tottenham

Tottenham struck first through Son Heung-min in the 25th minute, but Arsenal leveled just before halftime thanks to an own goal by Dominic Solanke, deflecting Gabriel’s header. Moments later, Leandro Trossard completed the turnaround with a stunning strike past Spurs’ new goalkeeper, Antonin Kinsky.

Premier League: Arsenal Roars Back To Beat Tottenham 2-1 As Newcastle Storms Into The Top Four

Arsenal dominated the second half but failed to extend their lead, breathing a sigh of relief when Pedro Porro struck the post deep into stoppage time.

With the win, Arsenal moves to 43 points, narrowing the gap to four behind second-placed Liverpool, who have a game in hand. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised his team’s performance, saying, “We had some big chances. At the end, we had to suffer, but we are on a consistent run.”

For Tottenham, the defeat deepens their struggles, leaving them with just five points from their last nine games and dropping to 13th. Manager Ange Postecoglou lamented, “Nowhere near good enough, especially in the first half.”

Newcastle’s Surge and Isak’s Record Run

Alexander Isak delivered another stellar performance in Newcastle’s 3-0 demolition of Wolves. The Swedish striker opened the scoring in the 34th minute with a deflected shot and added a second shortly before the hour mark, expertly finishing Bruno Guimaraes’ pass. Anthony Gordon capped off the win with a late goal.

Isak’s eighth consecutive Premier League game with a goal brings him closer to Jamie Vardy’s record of 11. “I feel amazing,” said Isak. “Individually I feel confident, but it’s the team’s efforts that make this possible.”

Newcastle’s sixth straight league win sees them leapfrog Chelsea into fourth, solidifying their Champions League aspirations.

Other Premier League Results

Aston Villa Edges Everton 1-0
David Moyes’ return to Goodison Park ended in disappointment as Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins scored the only goal in the 51st minute. Despite some late efforts, Everton lacked creativity and remains just one point above the relegation zone.

Moyes expressed optimism but acknowledged the challenge ahead: “What I need to do is add quality and find a way of getting results.”

Crystal Palace 2-0 Leicester City
Jean-Philippe Mateta and Marc Guehi secured a comfortable win for Crystal Palace over Leicester, leaving the Foxes second from bottom after their sixth straight defeat.

Key Stats

  • Arsenal has ended a three-game winless run in all competitions.
  • Newcastle’s Isak now has 15 league goals this season, chasing Jamie Vardy’s record.
  • Tottenham has slumped to 13th, taking just five points from a possible 27 in their last nine games.

Looking Ahead

Arsenal faces Aston Villa next, while Newcastle continues their top-four charge. Everton’s survival battle under Moyes and Leicester’s fight against relegation will be closely watched.
