The Conversation
“Are you married?” her co-star Nadia inquired.
“I’m not married,” Ini replied.
Nadia followed up, asking, “Are you together with the dad?”
“No, I’m not,” Ini confirmed.
When asked whether the father is alive, Ini Edo responded, “Well, I don’t know… He doesn’t have anything to do with us. We’re just two people. Just me and my child.”
Her Fertility Journey
During a confessional segment, the actress opened up further about her struggles with fertility, stating, “My journey is one that I have not really wanted to talk about because it’s personal. I never thought I would be someone who had fertility issues. But I’ve had issues carrying pregnancies long-term.”

Ini revealed that before deciding on surrogacy, she underwent several rounds of IVF and endured six miscarriages. “When it looked like it was not going to happen the way I wanted and I wasn’t getting younger, I asked, ‘What are the options?’ And then, this option came up, so I took it,” she explained.
Empowered by Her Decision
Despite the challenges, Ini Edo expressed satisfaction with her choice. “I’m very happy with my decision,” she said. “There are different ways to go about having a child, and surrogacy was the right option for me.”
The actress’s openness about her journey has sparked conversations about surrogacy and fertility challenges, inspiring others to explore their own paths to parenthood.
