Nigerian actress Nancy Isime has shared her views on relationships, revealing that she does not discuss personal finances with her partner and expects the same level of privacy in return.
Speaking during an appearance on the Thanks For Coming podcast, the actress said financial conversations have no place in her romantic life.
According to Isime, she believes certain boundaries should remain untouched and sees no need for couples to disclose their earnings to each other.
“I never discuss three things: my money, my money, my money. Tell a man how much I earn, never, for what,” she said.
“And I don’t want him to discuss his with me either. I don’t want to know how much he is earning.”
The actress also addressed trust and privacy in relationships, saying she would not object if her partner wanted access to her phone, although she personally would never request the same.
“I have no problem with him going through my phone but for what,” she said.
“I would never ask to check my man’s phone.”
The 34-year-old actress also reflected on her long-standing views about marriage, recalling that she never grew up fantasising about weddings.
In a previous interview in 2024, Isime said her ambitions centred more on career growth, independence and financial success than marriage.

“You know when young girls used to sit down and daydream about getting married, I never did. I used to daydream about working and making my own money and being independent,” she said.
She added that even if she eventually gets married, the ceremony would simply reflect what both partners agree on rather than a lifelong fantasy.
“I fear that I might not even have my dream wedding because what is a dream wedding? Even if I get married, it would just be a wedding that we both agree on at the same time… If it is a big wedding, if we feel it, it’s fine. If it is a small wedding, whatever we feel.”
However, earlier this year during an interview with Morayo Afolabi-Brown, Isime acknowledged that she is open to marriage and expressed a desire to settle down with a kind partner.
