Widow of Pastor TB Joshua, who is now the leader of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Pastor Evelyn Joshua, is ready to lead her second thanksgiving service since assuming the leadership role.
Her husband and late founder of SCOAN Prophet TB Joshua died on June 5, 2021, after an Emmanuel TV partner’s meeting.
The church announced in a recent social media post that the two-day service will start on Saturday, December 3, and round off the following day.
A notice released by the church read, “As the year winds down, get ready for two days of incredible divine impact at the feet of Jesus Christ as we gather for THE SCOAN THANKSGIVING SERVICE on the weekend of December 3-4, 2022.
“This unique two-day service will be a great opportunity for you and your family to offer a worthy sacrifice of praise to God Almighty for what He has done, what He is doing, and what He will do regarding all that concerns you.”
Evelyn led the church’s thanksgiving and reunion service in 2021, months after the death and burial of her husband.
In her opening remarks, she addressed the congregation, saying: “Our gathering here this morning is as it should be by divine will.”
During her sermon titled ‘The decision of a champion,’ she said, “Jesus Christ was ready to go through a season of pain in order to go through an eternity of gain. You begin to succeed with your life when the pain and hurts of others matter to you.”
Speaking at the first SCOAN coordinators’ general meeting held in Lagos on September 6 and 7, 2022, Evelyn stated that she would do anything to uphold the name of the ministry while she is alive.
