President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of his administration’s reforms, stressing that meaningful national progress comes with sacrifice.
In his Easter message released on Friday, the President addressed citizens both at home and in the diaspora, drawing parallels between the season’s spiritual lessons and the country’s current journey.
Tinubu highlighted themes of resilience, sacrifice, and hope, noting that these values are essential not only in faith but also in building a stronger nation.
“The ongoing reforms, though demanding in their immediate impact, have been carefully put together and backed by a strong commitment to take us to a shared prosperity.
“As I have often said, true transformation cannot be achieved without sacrifice, and history affirms that enduring progress is often forged in moments such as these,” he said.
While acknowledging the economic and security challenges confronting the country, the President commended the efforts of the Armed Forces in tackling insurgency and banditry. He also assured Nigerians that his government remains committed to equipping security agencies and strengthening international partnerships to address threats effectively.
Tinubu further urged citizens to promote unity, responsibility, and peaceful engagement, especially as the country moves closer to another election cycle.
He emphasised that democracy depends on active but responsible participation from the populace.
