Nigerian street-hop singer Portable has stirred reactions online after previewing a new song that appears to address his recent issues with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The singer shared a clip of the unreleased track on social media, using the lyrics to express frustration over what he described as increased scrutiny following his rise to fame and financial success.

In the song, Portable suggested that no one paid attention to him during his difficult days, but that authorities became interested in him after he became wealthy. He also alleged that the invitation he received over claims of naira abuse was unfair.

The controversial artiste sang about feeling targeted and questioned the motives behind the actions taken against him, insisting that he had worked hard for his success.

The new track comes shortly after Portable publicly revealed that he had been invited by the EFCC regarding allegations linked to the abuse of the Nigerian currency.

Responding to the controversy at the time, the singer maintained that his income was earned legitimately through music performances, international engagements and cryptocurrency transactions.

He also argued that security agencies should focus more on tackling serious crimes rather than concentrating on entertainers accused of spraying money during celebrations.

The song preview has since generated conversations online, with fans debating the singer’s message and his ongoing confrontation with the anti-graft agency.
