The Accord Party’s screening committee has approved Governor Ademola Adeleke to contest in the party’s ongoing governorship primary taking place on Wednesday in Osogbo.
The confirmation was issued in a statement by the committee chairman and the party’s National Organising Secretary, Ibe Thankgod.
According to Thankgod, Adeleke satisfied every requirement needed for nomination and was cleared as the party’s sole contender for the governorship ticket. He further praised the governor, describing him as a “worthy gubernatorial aspirant” of the Accord Party.
