Nigerian comedian and content creator Jubril Oladapo Gbadamosi, widely known as Officer Woos, has dismissed viral social media claims alleging he was arrested over drug trafficking offences.
The reports had falsely claimed that the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) detained him in 2025 over the alleged importation of bread and brownies containing cocaine from Mexico.
In a statement released on Friday by his lawyers, Versed Attorneys, the allegations were described as completely untrue.
“The claims are entirely false, fabricated, and without any basis whatsoever,” the legal team stated.
According to the statement, the skit maker has never been arrested, investigated, or charged in connection with any drug-related case. It also clarified that he has never made any public announcement about the death of an associate, contrary to the circulating reports.
His lawyers said the publications were part of a malicious attempt to damage his image and mislead the public.
They also referenced relevant Nigerian laws, including defamation provisions under the Cybercrimes Act and Criminal Code, noting that the matter could attract legal consequences.
The statement demanded that all individuals and platforms responsible for spreading the false claims retract them immediately and publish a public apology within 48 hours.

It further warned that legal proceedings, including claims for damages and formal petitions to regulatory and law enforcement agencies, would be pursued if the misinformation continues.
Gbadamosi also reaffirmed his position in a social media post, writing: “The claims are entirely false, fabricated, and without basis. This will be handled through the appropriate legal channels. Thank you for your understanding”.
The public was urged to disregard the rumours and rely only on verified information from his official communication channels and legal representatives.
