For those who hold international model, Naomi Campbell in high esteem and believes her ability to write English language is flawless, you need a rethink.
On Friday the international model, who is headlining the Thisday Style Arise Fashion Show, was sighted at the Eko Atlantic City where the Nigerian President, Mohammadu Buhari was invited for a private tour of the project with the governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Photos were taken, social media upholds thereafter and the frenzy that accompanied captioning photos of such likes.
Then Naomi Campbell took to twitter and tweeted:
”Was a pleasure to be invited by His Excellency The President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari to the private launch of Eko Atlantic. @NGRPresident @MBuhari”.
Many were surprised at this since the President was on a two-day visit to Lagos and wasn’t expected to have any date with a model!
Before social media could go agog with any funny memes, the Personal adviser to President Buhari, Bashir Ahmaad quickly took to twitter and denied that the presidency ever invited international model, Naomi Campbell to the launch of Eko Atlantic City in Lagos State.
Bashir Ahmaad tweeted:
”For the sake of clarity, President @MBuhari didn’t invite Ms. Naomi Campbell to any event during his 2-day visit to Lagos State. They only met at the Eko Atlantic City while Mr. President was touring the project, and she requested to take photos with him.”
This must have caused a stir with Naomi’s handlers and she quickly tweeted:
President Buhari arrived Lagos state on Thursday to commission a bus terminal in Ikeja, the state’s capital. He was also at the celebration of the 66th birthday of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he clocked 66.
Thereafter, PMM took a tour of Eko Atlantic City, a city built on land reclaimed from the ocean. President Buhari was at the place with the governor of the state, Akinwunmi Ambode, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and international model, Naomi Campbell.
Naomi Campbell, who is obviously in Nigeria for the fashion show which holds this weekend is currently the girlfriend of British-Nigerian rapper, Skepta and has been in a relationship with another Nigerian who is a millionaire, Gbenga Aluko.
Skepta is the first man Naomi has been linked to since Egyptian millionaire Louis C. Camilleri in July 2017.
