Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star Asake has opened up about his personal life, sharing his hopes of settling down and building a family in the future.
In a recent chat on Flow With Korty, the singer disclosed that the thought of having a family is something that occupies his mind regularly.
“I want to have a family by the special grace of God,” he said.
He went on to explain that although he desires marriage, his current lifestyle does not involve going out much, but he remains confident that things will fall into place.
“I think about it everyday, I would love to marry someday but I don’t go out. But I know I would meet my wife and it is in God’s hands,” he added.
Asake also highlighted his strong belief in divine order, noting that life events happen according to a greater plan rather than human pressure.
“There is a plan for everything in a man’s life. Humans just rush and make efforts because they don’t understand. The way we are right now, no one knows tomorrow,” he said.
When quizzed about his current relationship status, the singer responded jokingly, “My mum is my babe.”
