Arsenal have begun their 2026/27 campaign with silverware after defeating Manchester City 3-0 in the Community Shield at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
Mikel Arteta’s side made an explosive start, taking the lead within the opening moments of the encounter.
Myles Lewis-Skelly picked out Riccardo Calafiori inside the penalty area, with the Italian defender calmly finishing despite Gianluigi Donnarumma committing himself early.
Arsenal continued to dominate and doubled their advantage before half-time. Donnarumma failed to hold Kai Havertz’s header, allowing the ball to end up in the back of the net.
