Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday stormed the Maitama home of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, in Abuja, in what appeared to be a takeover operation.
The officials, said to be led by Folarin Dare, arrived in multiple buses and were heavily armed, wearing the agency’s signature red and black jackets as they secured the area.
Witnesses reported that the road leading to the residence, located at No. 2 Koranakh Close, off Amazon Street in Maitama, was barricaded, preventing access to the property.

Attempts to approach the building were unsuccessful as the operatives effectively sealed off the vicinity.
The action is believed to be linked to an ongoing investigation into alleged financial misconduct involving the former government official.
