Workers of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), with the support of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), on Monday staged a protest at the National Industrial Court in Abuja as part of their ongoing total and indefinite strike.
The demonstration followed an earlier directive by the NLC, which threw its weight behind the industrial action, insisting that the strike was justified.
The labour union accused the FCTA management and political leadership of repeatedly breaching workers’ rights, leaving employees with no option but to down tools.

During the protest, the workers displayed placards bearing strong messages, including “Wike must go!!”, “Abuja no be Rivers”, “Pay promotion arrears”, “Enough is Enough” and “No working tools”.
The picketing of the court further underscored the workers’ resolve to press for the resolution of their outstanding grievances, as the strike continues across the FCT.
