Nollywood actor Taye Arimoro has filed a lawsuit against fellow actress Peggy Ovire, accusing her of assault during a movie shoot.
The incident, which gained attention last week after a video went viral, reportedly involved Arimoro claiming that Peggy and her team blocked his car and deflated its tires to prevent him from leaving the set. The actor also displayed visible injuries to his lips and gums.
In response, Peggy alleged that Taye physically attacked two crew members, claiming that she intervened only after the situation escalated. She further stated that Taye drove off while she was near the car, and her driver later sustained injuries after allegedly being hit multiple times.
However, CCTV footage from the set later emerged, showing Peggy in a physical confrontation, removing her wig, handing someone a phone, and appearing ready to fight Taye, contradicting her version of events.
On Instagram, Arimoro shared screenshots of the legal complaint he filed, demanding both a public apology and N100 million in damages.

According to a letter dated November 18, 2025, from Inibehe Effiong Chambers, Arimoro claimed his rights were violated on set. “My vehicle was obstructed by the production manager, while another car blocked the exit. I started an Instagram live for safety after receiving threats. Peggy attempted to delete evidence from my phone,” he stated.
The actor also listed injuries, including a fractured mandible, bite marks, and bruises. His legal team argued that his personal liberty, movement, and dignity were infringed upon, causing emotional trauma, psychological stress, and loss of earnings.
Arimoro’s lawyers have demanded a public apology video on all Peggy Ovire platforms and N100 million in compensation, giving her seven days to respond.
