Rose Idibia, the mother of legendary Nigerian singer Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia, has publicly pleaded for help, urging Nigerians to beg Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru to leave her son.

In a viral video on Thursday evening, Mrs. Idibia expressed her concerns, claiming that 2Baba is not in his right frame of mind due to his ongoing divorce from his estranged wife, Annie Idibia.
“That Is Not My Son”
Speaking emotionally, she said:
“Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia, the mother of 2Face. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son.
“My son is going through a divorce process, and he is clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son well. That is not him.
“Please Natasha, the beads you put on his hand and neck, remove them and free him.”
2Baba’s Proposal Sparks Outrage
This plea comes after a viral video surfaced showing 2Baba proposing to Natasha Osawaru, further fueling the controversy.
In the video, the duo was seen dancing together in the presence of close associates before 2Baba presented her with a ring. Their intimate embrace afterward only intensified speculation.
2Baba: “Yes, I Love Her”
Addressing the backlash, the African Queen crooner earlier defended his new relationship, clarifying on Instagram that Osawaru had nothing to do with his split from Annie.
“She is a young, brilliant, amazing woman. She had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie. Yes, I love her. She is amazing, and she is cool. I want to marry her.”
Who is Natasha Osawaru?
Osawaru is a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, representing the Egor Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). She was elected in April 2023.
As the drama unfolds, social media remains divided, with many questioning 2Baba’s decisions while others argue that he has the right to choose his happiness.
