Nigerian music star Wizkid has stirred anticipation among fans after hinting that new music may be on the way.
The Grammy-winning Afrobeats singer recently shared a brief message on his X account, writing simply: “Album🦅”.
Although the post did not include further details, it immediately sparked speculation among fans about an upcoming project.
The announcement comes almost two years after the release of his fifth studio album, Morayo, which dropped in November 2024.
The project carried emotional significance for the singer, as it was dedicated to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.
Wizkid first rose to national prominence with the release of his debut album, Superstar, in 2011.
Since then, he has expanded his catalogue with projects including Ayo in 2014, Sound From The Other Side in 2017, and Made in Lagos in 2020.
Made in Lagos featured collaborations with artistes including Damian Marley, Skepta, H.E.R., Ella Mai, Burna Boy, Tems and Terri.
