Nigerian Afrobeats star Wizkid has made history after surpassing 11 billion streams on Spotify across all song credits, becoming the first African artiste to achieve the feat.
The milestone was revealed on Tuesday by music analytics platform Chart Africa in a post shared on X.
The platform announced, “Wizkid becomes the first African artist EVER to cross 11 Billion Spotify streams across all credits”.
The achievement arrives just days after the release of Wizkid’s latest collaboration with DJ Tunez titled State of Mind.

Released on May 15, 2026, the track quickly gained traction on streaming platforms, recording more than 685,000 streams globally on Spotify within its first complete day.
Over the years, Wizkid has continued to strengthen his position as one of Africa’s biggest global music exports, with international collaborations and chart-topping projects helping to expand his streaming dominance worldwide.
