Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has reportedly died at the age of 66 after battling cancer.
The renowned Yoruba actor was said to have passed away on Sunday after a prolonged illness.
His daughter, Kira Taiwo, was seen in an emotional video circulating on social media, where she struggled to contain her grief while announcing her father’s death.
“My daddy is dead,” she repeatedly said in the video.
The reported death comes only days after Kira and her sister, Haleemah, disclosed that their father was battling Stage 4 cancer and appealed to Nigerians, medical professionals and well-wishers for assistance in finding treatment.

The daughters had made separate emotional appeals, seeking medical intervention as the actor’s condition reportedly deteriorated.
Ogogo was one of the prominent figures in Yoruba-language cinema, with a career spanning more than four decades. He featured in hundreds of films and earned recognition for his contributions to the Nigerian film industry.
