Ramon Nasir, group head of media and external relations at United Bank for Africa (UBA), has bagged the award for leadership in media management at The Industry Summit and Awards 2025 hosted by The Industry newspaper.
The awards ceremony was held last Saturday at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, where industry giants gathered to celebrate excellence in media and communications.
It followed The Industry summit held the previous day at CIBN House, Victoria Island, Lagos.
This year’s event, which had the theme “Understanding Changing Consumer Preferences in Troubled FMCG Space,” drew leading advertising and marketing professionals from across the continent.
Taking to social media on Thursday, Mr Nasir expressed his gratitude to UBA and The Industry publisher Goddie Ofose.
“Thank you, @goddiedgreatofose and @theindustryng for the honour. I am most humbled. I appreciate @ubagroup for providing an enabling environment for us to succeed. To my wonderful team, well done!” the UBA spokesman wrote, alongside photos of his award and certificate.
Others honoured at the event included the MD/CEO of Chain Reactions Africa, Israel Opayemi, who received the industry pathfinder in PR award and senior special assistant to President Bola Tinubu on digital engagement and strategy, O’tega Ogra, who was named spokesperson of the year.
