The Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) Alumni Association has granted scholarships to six top-performing 200-level students from the institution’s six colleges.

Bolaji Oladeji, the National President of TASUED Alumni, revealed in a statement on Thursday that the scholarship program, which covers full tuition fees for the beneficiaries, was established to reward academic excellence and foster a strong reading culture among students.

The awards were presented during the matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students on January 8, 2025.

In his address, Oladeji encouraged the new students to focus on their academic goals and avoid distractions, including cultism, examination malpractice, and drug abuse, which he described as detrimental to their future success.

Key Highlights:

  • Scholarships were awarded to the best 200-level students from each of TASUED’s six colleges.
  • The initiative is part of the alumni’s efforts to promote academic excellence.
  • Oladeji congratulated the new students while emphasizing the importance of maintaining a good reputation for themselves, their families, and the university.

This gesture reflects the alumni association’s dedication to uplifting students and ensuring a culture of excellence at TASUED.
