Last Saturday, November 3, when media personality, Toke Makinwa, clocked 34 years, she was bent on making Google go envious by been the most talked about personality on the Internet.
The divorced celebrity, who became more popular with the launch of her book, ‘Unbecoming’ indeed got the attention she craved for.
Dressed in bikini, Toke Makinwa shared over six of these photos and made sure she fed the imaginations of whoever cared to see her well toned body.
“Toke seeks attention from all angles and would do anything to have every tongue talk about her. She is like Kim Kardashian who wants to be talked about always and be the trend. You can see that she tried as much as possible to look like Kim in her new photos,” one of her friends said.
Popularly called Tokstar by her friend, it is obvious Toke Makinwa wants to get back at her ex Maje Ayida for all she thinks he had done to hurt her.
The marriage, though didn’t produce any child, passed through a period of scandal barely some months after it was consummated when Maje was rumouredd to have impregnated his girlfriend, Anitah Solomon. Maje became a father through Anitah when she had a baby boy later. Toke was to file a divorce suit against Maje in a Lagos court and she had instituted him and his Baby Mama, Anita Solomon, as respondents.
From the petitions filed, Toke said it all—Maje was unfaithful, the marriage ceased to exist on November 8, 2015 when she could not stand the repeated adulterous acts of the man. He had a baby outside their marriage.
She even confessed she bleached her skin because of her spouse!
In her book, Toke wrote about her fears about Maje and Anitah:
“At some point while we were dating, Maje had asked if he could tape us having sex. This was a new one for me but I would do anything to keep my man, or so I thought, and so I obliged. But I was nervous afterwards because I didn’t want the tape to get into the wrong hands…. I dragged the file back to his desktop, and I could tell from the stilled image in the video that the person in it was not me…. I clicked play and watched horrified as Maje had sex with Anita.
Watching that video, all of the inadequacies I thought I had dealt with over the years came rushing back. I had been with Maje from when I was an immature teenager, through my twenties, and for most of those years, Anita had been the standard I had to live up to. I had lightened my skin at some point – Anita was half Lebanese and half Ibibio, and Maje made me feel like he preferred her lighter skin.”
That she is flaunting her almost naked body is part of telling Maje ‘see what you missed.’
Now with rich bank accounts, Toke Makinwa who has been romantically linked with some rich men including an old oil magnate, could still remain single despite celebrating her 34th birthday last weekend.
Her dreams of becoming global celebrity and doing everything possible to be on that pedestal coupled with her urge to be talked about all the time on social media could send the wrong signals to a young man who will be willing to marry her.
Bikini body? Banging body as it’s always said on social media? Yes, but will that be the same body in two years? Three? Or six years when she is 40? This is wishing Toke Makinwa a happy birthday in arrears.
