Anita Okoye, wife of former member of the defunct music duo Psquare, Paul Okoye has petitioned a court to dissolve their marriage on the grounds of irreconcilable differences.
In a court document filled in an Abuja high court that circulated on Friday, Anita requested the dissolution of their marriage. She also advised her husband to challenge the petition if he feels dissatisfied.
The news of the couple’s impending divorce comes as a shock to their close friends and fans who have reacted on social media.
Anita first sparked divorce rumours in April 2019 when it was reported that she relocated with their three children to the United States of America. The rumours were laid to rest after she shared a themed video of her and Paul over the years to celebrate their wedding anniversary,
“Five years of friendship. Five years of marriage and adorable kids. We bicker and argue, we quarrel and fight, but we still love each other with all our might. We have differences, which we grumpily bear, but at the end of the day, we both make a great pair. Happy anniversary, partner,” she wrote.
In 2019, Anita was accused by a vendor of buying stimulative items to spice up their marriage.
The couple got married in 2014 after dating for 10 years. They have three children.
