Paris Saint-Germain successfully defended their UEFA Champions League crown after defeating Arsenal in a dramatic penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw after extra time.
Arsenal made a bright start to the final and took the lead through Kai Havertz, who latched onto a through ball before calmly finishing past the goalkeeper.
The Gunners held on to their advantage for much of the contest, but PSG found a way back after being awarded a penalty when Cristhian Mosquera brought down Khvicha Kvaratskhelia inside the box.
Ousmane Dembélé stepped up and converted from the spot, sending Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya the wrong way to level the scores.
With neither side able to find a winner during regulation time or extra time, the match was decided by penalties.

In the shootout, Arsenal were dealt a major blow as Eberechi Eze and Gabriel Magalhães failed to convert their spot-kicks, allowing PSG to emerge victorious.
The triumph sees the French champions retain the Champions League trophy and become the first club to win the competition back-to-back since the introduction of its new format.
