Renowned Ogun businesswoman and socialite, Princess Khadijat Adebisi Edionseri, affectionately known as Cash Madam, has passed on at the age of 89.
One of the Ogun Businesswoman Princess Khadijat’s sons, Dr. Adebayo Adebowale, confirmed her demise in an official statement on behalf of the family.
According to the family, Princess Edionseri passed away on January 5, 2025, following a brief illness.
“With deep gratitude to Allah for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Princess Kadijat Abike Adebisi Edionseri (née Elegbede), who returned to her Creator on 5th January 2025 at the age of 89,” the statement read.

They also emphasized that her laughter, warmth, and values would remain forever etched in their hearts, guiding them even in her physical absence.
The funeral will be conducted according to Islamic rites on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 4:00 PM at her residence in Abeokuta GRA. “May Allah (SWT) forgive her shortcomings, grant her Jannatul Firdaus, and strengthen us all during this difficult time. Ameen,” Dr. Adebowale added.
The late Princess Edionseri was the Iyalaje and Iya Suna of Egbaland and would have marked her 90th birthday in April 2025. Her passing has drawn an outpouring of tributes from prominent personalities across Nigeria, who have extended their condolences to her family.
Her legacy of resilience, philanthropy, and unwavering faith will remain an inspiration to many.
