Premier League: Liverpool Thrash West Ham 5-0 To Extend League Lead, Salah Shines Again

In a dominant display, Liverpool crushed West Ham United 5-0 at the London Stadium on Sunday, extending their lead at the top of the Premier League table to eight points.

Mohamed Salah once again led the way for the Reds in the Premier League, scoring one goal and providing two assists as Liverpool dismantled their outclassed hosts.

Salah’s impressive performance took his tally to 20 goals in all competitions this season, and he has now scored and assisted in eight Premier League games.

The victory means Liverpool have 45 points from 18 games, with surprise package Nottingham Forest their closest pursuers on 37 points, though they have played a game more. In fourth place, Chelsea could cut the gap to seven points if they defeat struggling Ipswich Town on Sunday.

Salah, who is yet to sign a new contract with Liverpool, expressed his desire to help the club win the league title. The only thing on my mind is I want Liverpool to win the league and be part of that,” he said.

Manager Arne Slot praised Salah’s exceptional form, saying, “If you look at his numbers, you can’t argue with that.

Mo is up there at the moment.” The Dutchman has lost only one match since taking charge, including his results with former club Feyenoord.

While Salah’s contract situation remains uncertain, Liverpool fans will be delighted to see their talisman continuing to deliver high-quality performances as the club aims to secure its 20th league title.
