A TikTok content creator identified as “Love” has reportedly been invited by the Nigeria Police Force over allegations of cyberstalking, fraud, and mischief following her viral video about the shelf life of a loaf of bread.
The development was disclosed by social media influencer Lucky Udu, who shared details of the situation via Instagram on Sunday. He revealed that the creator contacted him after receiving the police invitation.
“How many of you saw the video of the bread lady I posted? So she reached out to me that she has just been invited to the Nigeria Police Force headquarters for cyberstalking, mischief,” he said.
He added that he advised her to stay in contact with him as many Nigerians continue to monitor the case.
“I have told this lady to keep in touch with me because a lot of Nigerians want to see how it goes,” he said.
In a message shared online, the TikToker, known by the handle @lovedooshimaa, confirmed she had been summoned for questioning.
“Hello good evening my brother. I saw the video you made and how many followers you pulled for me… As at this moment I have received an invitation to police HQ to come for an interview because I have been reported for cyberstalking, fraud, mischief and so on,” she wrote.
The controversy began after she posted a video claiming that a loaf of bread remained fresh for about two months, sparking widespread debate on social media over food safety and product standards.
Reacting to the claim, the founder of Bon Bread, Maria Abdulkadir, said the company attempted to contact the content creator to verify the allegation.
“I made a call to her because I wanted to understand where she got the bread from and how it could have lasted two months, as she claimed,” she said.
