Former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi visited former Head of State IBB at his Minna residence on Thursday.
Obi, who shared details of the visit on his X account, described it as an opportunity to exchange thoughts on pressing national matters with the elder statesman.
“From Jigawa State, I traveled to Minna, Niger State, to pay a visit to a father figure, elder statesman, and leader, the former military president, General IBB, at his residence,” Obi wrote, alongside photos from the visit.
He noted that the meeting provided a chance to wish IBB a happy New Year and gain insights from his wisdom.
“General Babangida’s wisdom and perspectives remain very important, and I always deeply appreciate the chance to visit him and listen to his invaluable advice,” pPeter Obi added.
The visit underscores Obi’s commitment to engaging with influential figures to address national challenges.
