Osun State Governor and Accord Party governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, has secured victory in his first polling unit as results from Saturday’s governorship election begin to emerge.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials declared the Accord Party the winner of Polling Unit 026, Ward 5, in Osogbo Local Government Area.
Accord polled 57 votes at the unit, defeating the All Progressives Congress (APC), which recorded 43 votes.

Results from several polling units across the state have started coming in as the collation process gets underway.
The election has been largely successful in several parts of Osun, although there have been reports of intimidation, vote-buying and other forms of electoral malpractice in some locations.
