The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, on Wednesday, renamed pop musician, 2face Idibia.
To the Ooni, Tuface is now TuBobo!
This was made known on Wednesday when the monarch hosted the musician and his wife, Annie Idibia, at his palace in Enuwa, Ile-Ife.
The video of the visit of the Idibia’s to the monarch’s palace was shared via Instagram on Wednesday.

“I thank God for your giant strides in life so far, especially the fellowship award given to Tuface by the department of Music from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU); Congratulations!!!
“You are now also TuBobo; Annie, please don’t get angry about the new name I just gave your husband, it is because he looks much younger every passing day… I bid you greater successes in life,” the caption read.
2face Idibia was in Ile-Ife on Wednesday to receive an academic honour from the department of Music at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).
The honour was bestowed on him in recognition of the ‘African Queen’ singer’s longevity in the Nigerian music industry.
