The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has given the Edo State Government a 14-day ultimatum to vacate its secretariat in Benin City.
In a statement signed by Nigeria Labour Congress President Joe Ajaero and General Secretary Emmanuel Ugboaja after a meeting in Owerri, Imo State, the union demanded that the police vacate the secretariat, return confiscated properties, and cease interference in trade union activities.
The deadline for compliance is January 8, 2025.
