President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday hosted the President-elect of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mrs Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, during a courtesy visit at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Badejo-Okusanya visited the State House alongside prominent legal professionals and members of her support team, including the Dean of the Faculty of Law at Caleb University, Prof. Foluke Dada-Lawanson; President of the International Federation of Women Lawyers, Mrs Ezinwa Okoroafor; FCT Lead of the NBA Women Forum, Princess Hadiza Afegbua; and BBold Campaign Team Publicity Lead, Mrs Ramlat Ridhwan.
The meeting took place ahead of Badejo-Okusanya’s official assumption of office as the next NBA president.
She was recently elected as the 33rd President of the Nigerian Bar Association after securing 9,891 votes in the association’s national election.

With her victory, Badejo-Okusanya becomes the second woman to head the NBA, following in the footsteps of Chief Priscilla Kuye, who led the association between 1991 and 1992.
She is expected to take over from Afam Osigwe, SAN, at the NBA Annual General Conference scheduled to hold in Enugu next month, where she will officially begin her two-year tenure.
