After the tragic demise of Nigerian singer Mohbad, MTV Base, the prominent British music channel, reportedly imposes a ban on Marlian music.
Naira Marley, the Nigerian musician facing allegations related to Mohbad’s untimely passing, owns the Marlian Music record label.
As previously covered by Gistreel, the former signee of Marlian Records, Mohbad, passed away under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
In response to the controversial circumstances surrounding the singer’s death, several national radio stations have chosen to prohibit the airing of music produced by the record label.
MTV music channel staff member and renowned TV host, Ehizojie Okoeguale, known as DadaBoy Ehiz, confirmed the ban on Marlian music on Wednesday, joining the growing list of music platforms taking this action.
In a post shared on his social media, Okoeguale wrote, “MTVbase has ceased airing Marlian content.
