Veteran Nollywood star Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde sparked reactions online after a brief but tense exchange with a young presenter during the 46th Miss Nigeria Patrons & Board Dinner held on Sunday.
The moment, which has since gone viral, occurred during a live segment at the event that also featured the Daily Times Young Fashion Designer of the Year Award. In the circulating clip, the visibly inexperienced presenter approached the actress and attempted to begin an interview by prompting her to introduce herself.
“Alright, welcome to 2026 Miss Nigeria dinner. I am currently live with…?” he said.
The question appeared to take the actress by surprise, as she paused before challenging the presenter’s approach.
“You are here with who? I should tell you my name? You are not ready,” Omotola responded.
The presenter quickly tried to explain that he was aware of her identity and only wanted to structure the interview properly for viewers.

“I know you, Omotola Jalade, I just want fans to know who I am with,” he said.
However, the actress was not convinced, dismissing the clarification. “Why should I let fans know me? I am tired,” she replied.
Following the exchange, Omotola attempted to leave the interaction, while the presenter continued to appeal to her, and the interview reportedly carried on for a short while.
