Nollywood star Mercy Aigbe turned Lagos into a major spectacle over the weekend as she hosted an elaborate burial ceremony in honour of her late mother.
The actress, who lost her mother some months ago, laid her to rest on Friday, November 28, before throwing a lavish celebration the following day to mark a life well lived.
The event drew a massive turnout from the Nollywood community, with many colleagues showing up to support her.
High-profile guests also graced the occasion, including Olori Ashley, the fourth wife of the Ooni of Ife, and former House of Representatives member Abike Dabiri.

The ceremony was a full house of celebrities as the likes of Iyabo Ojo, Toyin Abraham, Kiekie, Aisha Lawal, Odunlade Adekola, Mide Martins and her husband Afeez Owo attended. Others present included Eniola Ajao, Faithia Williams, Omowunmi Dada, Eniola Badmus, Nkechi Blessing, Femi Adebayo, Saidi Balogun, Kemity, Foluke Daramola, Sikiratu Sindodo, Bakare Zainab, Omowunmi Ajiboye, Seyi Edun, Kemi Korede, Laide Bakare, Bimbo Thomas, Israel DMW, and many more.
With the impressive turnout and the grandeur of the celebration, Mercy Aigbe’s tribute to her mother stood out as one of the most talked-about Nollywood gatherings of the year.
