Actress Mercy Aigbe has explained why she married movie marketer Kazim Adeoti also known as Adekaz.
In a recent interview with Nollywood on Radio, Mercy Aigbe said that having a partner in the entertainment industry was very important to her.
The actress added that they are working together to build a production empire.
“One of the reasons I married him is that we’re both in the same industry. We are building an empire, a production empire,” she said.
“I felt I needed someone in the industry to collaborate with, and it’s a good thing that he understands it too. Combining our strengths, the future looks promising,” she added.
In 2023, Mercy and Adeoti partnered to produce the movie Ada Omo Daddy, marking her debut in cinemas.
Reflecting on the success of the movie, Mercy Aigbe said, “The feedback was amazing. I was a bit nervous as it was my first cinema debut, and there was heavy competition from big names in the cinema. But I was confident because I knew I had a sellable product.”
The actress also mentioned that her goal is to be on every platform where she can earn money.
“I won’t just be on cinemas. I’ll be on all platforms I can make money from,” she said.
Mercy Aigbe first married hotelier Lanre Gentry in 2013. They have a son together.
