More reactions continue to trail the gruesome murder of South African lady, Karabo Mokoena, who has been missing since April 28. She was found dead recently.
Investigations revealed she was killed and burnt by her boyfriend.
Since the news broke, Nigerians have been reacting and condemning domestic violence.
Leading the pack is Nigerian songstress Niyola who claimed to have been a friend of the deceased. Niyola had earlier put up a post when the deceased was still missing.
Also, TV gal Toke Makinwa, author of ‘On Becoming’ also joined in condemning the act.
She wrote:
“This beauty was killed by her ex boyfriend. Burnt beyond recognition I hear, I do not know her but this could be anyone of us. (Before you get all sanctimonious on me, search yourself)
Father God give us all the grace to survive this world and the evil that is in it? I hear he burnt her to death and joined her family in a search party for her, ha!!!!!! This world is wicked, may God grant her family peace thru this storm, may God give us more grace yet again I pray to be 10 steps ahead of our enemies, may God Take charge of our emotions and force us all out of toxic relationships and unhealthy situations/associations. The need to save someone you didn’t create because we think we need them in our lives, the void that lets us stay in bad places for the sake of comfort from the lies we tell ourselves yet we kill our purpose and destiny, God please break these chains today, let the veil be lifted off another’s face ?
How can you burn another human being? How does love get to this? To love is not to die, I’m so gutted. RIP to the dead.”
