Ify Okoye, the wife of music executive Jude Okoye, has spoken publicly amid the renewed rift involving the Okoye brothers, saying she will not be drawn into the ongoing family dispute.
The latest controversy follows fresh exchanges between Peter Okoye, Paul Okoye and their elder brother Jude, who previously managed the now-defunct music duo P-Square.
Peter recently accused Jude of withholding part of the proceeds from the group’s music catalogue, including an alleged unpaid sum of $25,000. He also claimed he was excluded as a signatory to one of the bank accounts used to receive the group’s music royalties.
Jude dismissed the allegations, insisting that all earnings generated from the brothers’ music projects were distributed equally among them.
Reacting via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, Ify said she had become aware of claims linking her to the controversy but would not respond by escalating the matter publicly.
“There comes a time when silence is no longer about fear, but about entrusting the truth to God,” she wrote.
“I have become aware of stories that have been twisted and manipulated to draw me into disputes that I neither created nor desire. I will not respond by trading accusations or fueling public conflict.
“As a believer, I choose to let God be my witness, for He knows every conversation, every intention, and every truth hidden from human eyes.”
She also cited the biblical account of Ananias and Sapphira, saying no one can hide the truth from God.

“The story of Ananias and Sapphira reminds us that while people can deceive others for a time, no one can deceive God. He is the righteous Judge who weighs every motive, exposes every falsehood, and upholds the truth in His perfect time,” she wrote.
“I have no desire to defend myself before those committed to misunderstanding me. Truth does not need manipulation to prevail, and I trust God to vindicate what is right.
“My prayer is not for judgment, but for mercy.
“May God bring conviction where it is needed, healing where there is brokenness, and peace where there is unrest. May He soften hardened hearts, restore what has been damaged, and lead us all into truth, humility, repentance, and His perfect love.”
The Okoye brothers first went their separate ways in 2017 following disagreements over Jude’s management of the group. They reconciled in 2021 and reunited on stage later that year before splitting again in 2024.
Since then, the family dispute has intensified, with Paul alleging that Peter was behind his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, while Peter has continued to raise concerns over the management of the group’s finances, leading to an ongoing legal battle and renewed public exchanges.
