The much awaited Iyabo Ojo Premieres ‘Labake Olododo’ As Mercy Aigbe, Toyin Abraham, Others Dazzle On Red Carpet premiere of Labake Olododo, a movie by Nollywood actor, Iyabo Ojo, took place on Sunday March 23 2025 and almost shut down the Internet
It was a mammoth crowd on Sunday at the IMAX Cinema, Lagos when Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo’s much-anticipated movie Labake Olododo was premiered.
It was indeed star-studded and attracted several celebrities such as Mercy Aigbe, Priscilla Ojo, Toyin Abraham, Ruth Kadiri, Wumi Toriola, and others, many of whom dazzled in their best warrior-themed outfits.






The premiere’s dress code was “Channelling Your Inner Warrior.”
In fact, many stars adhered to it and upheld their fashion sense.
Priscilla Ojo; Chioma Ikokwu aka Chioma Good Hair; Mercy Aigbe; Toyin Abraham and Ruth Kadiri embraced the theme with elaborate warrior costumes, with some accessorising with swords, helmet and spears.






Iyabo Ojo made a grand entrance on horseback, accompanied by an entourage also riding horses. She adorned a warrior outfit before later switching to her character’s costume from Labake Olododo, complete with a dreadlock wig.




Mercy Aigbe also made a striking appearance, arriving on horseback in a Roman-inspired gold warrior outfit, complemented with a bow and arrow.
Ruth Kadiri wielded a spear to complement her simple warrior attire, while Toyin Abraham channeled a Yeye Osun priestess with a white outfit adorned with beads.
Priscilla, on the other hand, embraced a Chinese female warrior look, accessorising with a sword.
During the event, Funke Akindele praised Iyabo Ojo for the film’s aesthetics and visuals, commending her efforts in bringing the project to life.






She encouraged Iyabo to continue breaking boundaries in the industry. “You look so good. I love the background, visuals, and everything else. It’s beautiful. Congratulations, and I wish you all the best. It’s your time to shine. Go and break it. We will keep pushing,” Funke said.
Other celebrities at the premiere included Ronke Oshodi; Akin Olaiya; Kamo State; Sola Kosoko; Aisha Lawal; Wumi Toriola; Biodun Stephen; Woli Agba; Taiwo Adeyemi; Eniola Ajao; Kiekie; Jayeola Monje; and Ayo Adesanya.






Also in attendance were Odunlade Adekola; Olumide Oworu; Brodashaggi; Lateef Adedimeji; Mo Bimpe; Fali Werepe; Ibrahim Chatta; Allwell Ademola; Kemity; Yinka Quadri; Saidi Balogun; and Semilore Pweety.
‘Labake Olododo’, directed by Iyabo Ojo, is set for a nationwide cinema release on March 28, 2025.
The epic film stars Iyabo Ojo in the lead role, alongside Odunlade Adekola; Lateef Adedimeji; Mercy Aigbe; Femi Adebayo; Ibrahim Chatta; Bimbo Akintola and Ronke Oshodi.
The movie follows the gripping story of Labake, a fearless warrior who rises against betrayal and injustice in her kingdom.
As she battles formidable enemies and navigates unexpected alliances, Labake’s journey unfolds in a tale of courage, sacrifice and destiny.
