The senior pastor of the Trinity Church, Lagos, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo has stated categorically that he is not opening up his heart to any other woman after his wife’s death.
With this, he must have put aside remarriage for a long while.
Ighodalo is the widower of late event planner, Ibidun , who died in 2020 from undisclosed medical condition.
According to the father of two, he loved his wife and he is not ready to share the love with any other woman.
Speaking during an interview with Mediaroomhub magazine, Ighodalo recalled the times he spent with his late wife and how he is finding it difficult to give his heart to any other woman again
The 60-year-old said, “I loved Ibidun very much and I still love her. I loved her and gave her everything that I have. I don’t think I have anything I want to give anybody again. As I speak, I don’t have it. It will be unfair to marry somebody who you cannot give everything. I gave Ibidun everything that I had to give in terms of love. Looking after a person, I married her intentionally to look after her. I don’t have that energy anymore and I don’t want my life complicated with anything. I don’t need anything from anybody.I am Ok as I am. I don’t know what will happen in 10 years, or 15 years or 20 years. For now, remarriage is not anything I desire.”
Former beauty queen, Ibidunni Ighodalo, before her untimely death on June 14, 2020, was married to Pastor Ituah Ighodalo of Trinity House, a mega church in Victoria island, Lagos.
Before her demise, Ibidunni showed that she was a woman with an amazing display of selflessness as she completely channelled all her attention and huge resources towards helping others out of the quandary of childlessness.
Her last birthday wish was to fund IVF treatment for 40 couples who are hoping to have their own babies.
Ibidunni was the brain behind Elizabeth R, the upscale event management company.
She also founded the Ibidun Igodalo Foundation.
