Billionaire businessman, Prince Bolu Akin-Olugbade is dead.

The wealthy businessman who was the chairman of Bolu Akin-Olugbade Limited, passed on today, January 13, 2021 at Paelon Covid19 centre, Ikeja.

The late billionaire fell ill after returning from a wedding ceremony on December 26, where he had featured as the chairman of the reception.

He was rushed to Paelon Memorial Hospital, Ikeja. He was reportedly discharged last week.

However by last weekend, he was rushed to one of the isolation centers in Lagos.

A successful lawyer with a doctorate in Company Law from Cambridge University, he was the Aare Onakakanfo of Owu Kingdom with business tentacles spread across oil and gas, real estate and marine.

A man who lived a life of unabashed luxury, Akin Olugbade was the biggest collector of the high-end car, Rolls Royce in Nigeria. He had virtually all of the series and just a little over a year ago, became the first Nigerian to take delivery of the Rolls Royce Cullian, the first Rolls Royce SUV. He was so obsessed with the brand that he had 10 Rolls Royce which has his customized plate numbers inscribed as ‘BOLU 1, 2, 3, 4, 5…”

Akin-Olugbade is survived by his wife Ladunni and sons.
