Grammy 2025: In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Tems’ artistry, stating that her success has brought pride to Nigeria on the global stage for the second time.

Tems clinched the award with her hit song “Love Me JeJe,” defeating strong contenders such as Yemi Alade’s “Tomorrow,” Asake and Wizkid’s “MMS,” Chris Brown’s “Sensational” (featuring Davido & Lojay), and Burna Boy’s “Higher.”

Grammy 2025: The President also celebrated the rise of young and multi-talented Nigerian artists, acknowledging their role in propelling Afrobeats to global prominence and reinforcing Nigeria’s reputation as a hub of musical innovation and cultural influence.

Tinubu further commended other Nigerian Grammy nominees, including Yemi Alade, Asake, Wizkid, Lojay, Davido, and Burna Boy, for their contributions to the music industry, job creation, and tourism promotion.

“You are all inspirations and role models to young people. The nation remains grateful for your creative excellence and global impact,” Tinubu stated.
