Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has announced that his administration’s developmental initiatives have reduced the state’s infrastructure deficit by over 40%.
Governor Ademola Adeleke disclosed this on Thursday in Osogbo while receiving an invitation to Leadership Newspaper’s annual event, where he will be honored as ‘Governor of the Year.’
In his address, Governor Ademola Adeleke expressed gratitude for the recognition but emphasized his commitment to continuing efforts to address the state’s challenges.
“I am not allowing the praises to get to my head. While it may be true that I have delivered a four-year task in under two years, I am driven to do more because Osun has been left behind on many fronts,” he said.
He outlined his administration’s goals, including further reductions in infrastructure deficits, expanded healthcare access, and investment in human capital development.
Governor Adeleke highlighted ongoing and upcoming projects, including:
- The remodelling of Osogbo Stadium to international standards.
- The dualisation of Odo-Ori to Post Office Road in Iwo, with phase one set to begin soon.
- Completion of the Iwo–Osogbo Road, with contractors already mobilized to the site.
- Progress on the Ilesa dualisation project and the flyover bridge in Ile-Ife.
“The year 2025 is set to mark a further expansion in good governance for the benefit of all,” Adeleke assured.
He commended Leadership Newspaper for recognizing his achievements and described the award as a validation of his administration’s performance.
The governor also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to bridging the infrastructure gap while ensuring sustainable development in Osun State.
