Renowned Nigerian Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, widely known as Kwam1 or K1 De Ultimate, is grieving the loss of two significant figures in his life within days.

His beloved mother, Halima Anifowoshe, passed away at the remarkable age of 105, as the singer announced on his social media platforms on Saturday.
Sharing a heartfelt photo of himself with his late mother, Kwam1 captioned the post with the Islamic phrase: “Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi Raji’un. RIP Mama,” reflecting his deep sorrow.
This devastating loss comes just days after the death of his wife, Alhaja Hafsat Ajoke Anifowoshe, who succumbed to an undisclosed illness on Tuesday. She was buried the same day at the Abari Cemetery in Lagos, in line with Islamic traditions.
Condolences have poured in from various quarters, including the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman of Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area (LIELCDA), who expressed profound sympathy:
“We understand the pain of losing a loving mother and a dependable partner so close together. However, we hope you find solace in the remarkable life your mother lived and her contributions to humanity.”
Describing the late Halima Anifowoshe, the statement added, “She was an exceptional woman, a devoted mother, and a pillar of support to her family, loved by all who met her. May her soul find eternal rest, and may you and your family find the strength to carry on.”
Fans and colleagues of the Fuji legend have also taken to social media to offer prayers and support during this challenging time, commending Kwam1 for his resilience in the face of such immense loss.
