Nollywood actor/producer, Desmond Elliot has come out to deny ever supporting an anti social media bill in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
“It wasn’t true! Only the Federal House of Representatives has power to do such,” he cried out in a video shared on his verified page on Instagram.
On Monday, some Nigerians on twitter lambasted Desmond Elliot, for allegedly supporting an anti-social media bill. Some even tweeted that the lawmaker is allegedly working on a bill to regulate and control speech on social media.
One user said, Desmond Elliot is a clear example of power will change people.
