Former Queen Naomi Reflects On Third Anniversary Of Divorce From The Ooni Of Ife

Today, December 23, 2024, marks three years since Former Queen Naomi Silekunola announced her separation from the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

In a reflective Instagram post, Queen Naomi shared heartfelt sentiments, saying:

“I, at this moment, announce that I shall no longer be referred to as wife to the Ooni of Ife or as Queen of Ile-Ife but as the Queen of the people and mother of my adorable Prince.”

Queen Naomi expressed gratitude for her journey, emphasizing peace and co-parenting as priorities:

“He is God’s way of saying I know about it all. In situations like this, there will be aggrieved persons. I appeal to all parties involved to allow the peace of God, with the consciousness that there is a lovely little boy between us.”

Moving Forward

Both parties have moved on amicably since the separation. The Ooni has remarried, now blessed with six Queens, while Queen Naomi continues her role as a mother and spiritual leader in her community.
