It was the first red carpet event she attended since losing her twins pregnancy in October.
The actress, who is married to rapper JJC Skillz was a guest on Saturday December 9 at the Future Awards ceremony in Lagos.
Dressed in a black floor-length dress, she was the cynosure of eyes and many did not miss her added weight.
When she posted her photo on Instagram, thousands of her fans posted words of encouragement, while many still doubted if indeed she lost the pregnancy which was very obvious at her 40th birthday party in August.
Its no longer news that TV/movie star actress Funke Akindele aka Jenifa had a miscarriage after a much celebrated pregnancy was flaunted on social media.
The rumour of a miscarriage kicked off by a post from radio presenter/actress Omotunde Adebowale David aka Adaku on November 4, 2017.
The two had attended the 50th birthday party of the CEO Amen Estate.
Adaku took photos with Funke Akindele whose stomach was flat and posted:
“Nothing but joy ..in all things we give thanks.party time with my homegirl @funkeakindelebello”
Many raised the questions of the ‘flat stomach’ in that photo but it fizzled out when there was none to corroborate or deny the reports.
However, Stella Dimoku-Korkus blog published today that Funke has indeed lost the pregnancy.

When Funke was pregnant and appeared at a Glo event, the Internet went abuzz. Nothing special about a married woman getting pregnant but Funke’s case was special.
Recall that there was a prophecy in 2016 when Pastor Olagorioye Faleyimu, who is the founder, Mountain of Blessing and Miracle Church of Christ, released a prophecy on the famous actress.
He had predicted among other issues concerning 2017, what would befall some celebrities.
On Funke Akindele, the prophet said, “Without special prayers, Funke Akindele won’t have a child before she dies because she is destined to be wealthy and famous but not destined to have a child and stable husband until she engages herself in the special prayer.
Whosoever marries her must have another reason because the issue of not having a child will keep coming up and it will scatter the marriage. If she refuses to do the prayer, she will end up adopting a child and by that time, she will be living alone without husband.”
Of course many prayed prayed against the prophecy and abused the pastor on social media. Imagine the celebration when she became pregnant and even celebrated her 40th birth in August with a baby bump.
