Former beauty queen and Nollywood actress, Lady Mina Horsfall, has extended her congratulations to Miss Tubosoye Karibi-George, the newly crowned Miss Africa International 2024.

Tubosoye, a Kalabari native, emerged victorious in the global pageant, bringing pride to Nigeria.

In her congratulatory message shared in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Saturday, Horsfall lauded Tubosoye’s achievement as a significant milestone for both the Kalabari Kingdom and Nigeria on winning the Miss Africa International 2024.

he recalled the historic 2001 victory of Agbani Darego, the first black African Miss World, also from Kalabari.

“I am delighted to celebrate you on the occasion of your homecoming,” Horsfall stated. “You made Nigeria proud on the global stage. I encourage Rivers people to welcome our Queen home and urge the Rivers State Government to recognise her as a Worthy Ambassador to inspire young women.”

The beauty queen and actress also urged Tubosoye to use her new title to touch lives, promote positive change, and highlight the beauty and strength of African women.

Tubosoye’s homecoming celebration is set to take place in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where a grand reception will be held in her honor.
