Former Miss Valentine 2007, Maryam Elisha, who was once a model narrowly, escaped death when a Mercedes Benz G-Wagon she was driving caught fire and went up in flames.
She was said to be driving on the Eko Bridge, Lagos when other road users alerted her of the fire from her car.
Narrating the incident, Elisha, said she tried to stop the car immediately, but the brakes failed.
“When the car eventually started to slow down, I put it on park and tried to open the door, which wouldn’t open until people came to my aid and helped me out before the fire spread everywhere,” she added.
A graduate of English from the University of Lagos, Maryam Elisha, a former beauty queen turned designer hails from Kebbi State. She is the last of seven children— six females and a male.
A few years ago, she was spotted wearing an engagement ring and when asked when she would reveal the man, she said, “Though I’m wearing an engagement ring, I do not intend to talk about my personal life but I am hoping to get married soon. My Mr. Right has to be God fearing and well behaved.
