American rapper Eminem (Marshall Bruce Mathers III) has criticized the Grammy Awards, calling the voting process “fake” and claiming that winners are picked based on favoritism rather than true talent.
In a recent interview following the 67th Grammy Awards at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 2, 2025, he expressed his frustration with the system.
Eminem stated, “That vote is fake as [expletive]. They give it to whoever they want. If I lose to someone like Kanye, I respect his impact on music, but don’t use the Grammy to play your show and stiff everyone every time.”
Eminem emphatically added that he would never attend the Grammy Awards again, saying his answer is “No, for 100 million years.”
The rapper’s comments reflect his deep discontent with what he sees as an unfair awards process, and his vow to stay away from the ceremony in the future is sure to spark more debate in the music industry.
