Afrobeat star, Seun Kuti, attended the 61st annual Grammy ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday in company of his girlfriend, Yetunde Ademiluyi.
He, however, could not perform as scheduled due to ticketing error.
The 36-year-old musician explained the mix-up in an Instagram post on Monday.
“First and foremost I have to say I am sorry to all the fans that tuned in to see us perform yesterday but didn’t.
“I had the weirdest ticket mix up in history meaning I missed my flight and the rehearsals and we couldn’t go on,” Seun wrote.
He paid tribute to the Soweto Gospel Choir who won the award in the category he was nominated for, calling them an inspiration.
